Tangent here....why do Blogger and my cookies hate each other?? I haven't been able to get on here all weekend because they can't find my cookies, which ARE there... Bleh!
Anyway, here's my review of a book in a series.

Why did you get this book? I picked it up ages ago, and when rearraging my living room, pulled it from the back of a bookshelf.
Did you enjoy the book? I really enjoyed it a lot! Miriam had me rooting for her from the first pages of the book. I really enjoyed the world-buildin. There were a few small niggles that kept working at me, but overall it was a very solid read.
Was the author new to you and would you read something by this author again? I've seen his books before, but this is the first oneI've purchased. I'll be reading the next books in the series as soon as i can get my hands on them.
