Only about 5 inches of snow here

My husband is SO disappointed. I keep telling him that he doesn't want 30 inches of snow in a weekend but he doesn't listen. Men!

Very strange night yesterday. The man I married has been trying to get a freelance job for about a month now. The pay is wonderful and the experience would elevate him to the next level in this very elite field. He's already one of only two hundred people with certification in the world and this would bring the field down to about one of fifty in the entire world.

Well, the job came through last night. Actually, the job came through with some strings. The job is in the south Pacific and the company doesn't want to send him on site. I can't blame them! The plane ticket, plus travel time...it is a huge financial commitment!

Well, when the job info came through, he started immediately panicking. He's only been in this career two years and he often feels that he's not worthy. He wants to refuse the offer. I want to sit down with him and draft a letter explaining his misgivings about some of the options and then see what the company decides to do. Wish me luck!

The wind is absolutely TERRIBLE here! My house was shaking all night! And the temperature is a balmy 12 degrees, with wind chills in the negative numbers. Welcome to winter!
