workplace morale

My husband's company is going through some rather major changes. Yesterday, a lot of things came to a head in a discussion with his manager. It was not a pleasant convo and was really upsetting to Mark. His professional self-esteem has taken a HUGE hit.

I can understand constructive criticism...but an attack like the one he reported back to me just isn't productive at all. . It sounds like a symptom of the overall work morale in his company.
